Indian Army Religious Teacher Jobs 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Pandit/Pandit Gorkha, Granthi, Padri, Maulvi, Buddhist
- Pandit / Pandit Gorkha: For Hindu candidates only, Shastri / Acharya in Sanskrit with Karam Kand as main/core subject or one year Diploma in Karam Kand.
- Granthi: For Sikh candidates only, Bachelor’s degree in any stream in any recognized university in India, a person must be ‘Gyani’ in Punjabi.
- Padri,: For Christian candidates only, Bachelor’s degree in any stream, a person must be ordained a priest by the appropriate church authority and must be in the approved list of the local bishop.
- Maulavi: For Muslim candidates only, Bachelor’s degree in any stream in any recognized university in India, person must be Alim in Arabic or Adib-e-Mahir / Urdu Mahir in Urdu.
- Buddhist: For Buddhist male candidates only, Bachelor’s degree in any stream, who have been ordained monks / Buddhist priests by the appropriate authority. The term appropriate authority would mean the chief priest of the monastery where the person has been ordained as a priest. The head priest must have the degree of Geshe (PhD) of Khanpa or Lopon or Rabjam with proper certificate from the monastery.
