PM Internship Scheme 2025: The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme in Top Companies has been announced in the Budget 2024-25 (Scheme). It aims to provide internship opportunities to one crore youth in top 500 companies in five years. Through this Scheme, youth will gain exposure for 12 months to real-life business environment, across varied professions and employment opportunities.

Benefits of the scheme
- Under this scheme, monthly assistance will be provided to the applicants, and the trainees will be given around Rs 5,000 for 12 months.
- A contingency grant of Rs 6,000 will be distributed to each trainee by the government through Direct Benefit Transfer on joining of the trainees at the training site.
- The amount related to the training of trainees under this scheme will be given by the company through its CSR fund as per the existing rules.
- Up to 5% of the CSR expenditure incurred under this scheme can be booked as administrative cost by the company, as covered under the Company CSR Policy Rules 2014.
- The scheme will also provide insurance coverage to each trainee under the insurance schemes of the Government of India.
